Meet Our Team

Prior to starting Silverthorne Insurance Brokers LLC in 2018, Nathan was an owner and agent at another local independent insurance agency in Abilene. He has 10 years in the insurance field and has been selling insurance since he graduated from Abilene Christian University in 2009. Nathan specializes in commercial insurance as well as working with individuals on their home & auto, life, health, builders risk, bonds, etc. As a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), he is able to help create and manage complex insurance programs and policies that help adequately cover his clients and protect their businesses, homes, vehicles, and most prized possessions. Nathan also does a lot of work with home builders, commercial contractors, oil & gas companies, trucking companies, and any type of retail operations.

Nathan is a proud “daddy” to his two daughters, Harper and Nora, his son, Micah, and husband to his wife Katie. When he’s not working Nathan enjoys hunting, being outdoors, playing golf, and real estate investing/development through his other company, Silverthorne Properties. Nathan is licensed to sell almost any type of insurance product in any part of the State of Texas, so give him a call!

Kaysee is the Director of Operations for Silverthorne Insurance Brokers, LLC. She has been working in the insurance industry since 2013 and has been working with Nathan since 2014. She grew up in Abilene and graduated from Abilene High School. Kaysee married her husband Chris in 2011 and they have two sons named Kealan and Camden.

Vanessa is a Commercial Lines Account Manager for Silverthorne Insurance Brokers LLC. She has been working in the Insurance industry since 2011. Before venturing into the insurance industry, she was the youngest recorded owner of a Merle Norman Cosmetics franchise. She was born and raised in Burleson, Texas and graduated from Burleson High School. She currently works remotely and visits Abilene as often as possible. Vanessa has one son named Philip.

Katie is a Personal Lines Account Manager and Bookkeeper for Silverthorne Insurance Brokers, LLC. She grew up in Abilene, Texas and has been in the finance industry since 2013. Katie graduated from Dallas Baptist University in 2015 with a degree in Finance, and received a Master's degree in Financial Analysis in 2020. Katie has two daughter, Kielah and Gabrielle.

Kellye is the Personal Lines Account Manager for Silverthorne Insurance Brokers, LLC. She has been working in the insurance industry since 2013 and previously worked at State Farm. She grew up in Anson, TX and graduated in 2013 from Texas Tech University with a degree in Agricultural Communications. Kellye married her husband, Jace, in 2018, and they have a son, Cohyn, and a daughter, Chandler.

Kate is the Commercial Lines Junior Account Manager for Silverthorne Insurance Brokers, LLC.  She has been working in the insurance industry since 2009 and has previously worked at State Farm.  Kate grew up in Anson, Texas as an Air Force child and graduated from Anson High School.  She has three children - Lacy, Colton, and Gunner.

Prior to launching his insurance career, Hayden spent six years in B2B technology consulting, advising business owners on strategy and operational efficiency. That experience, combined with his background in real estate investing and development, gives him a unique owner’s perspective when structuring insurance programs.

Hayden specializes in commercial insurance with a focus on real estate investors, builders, and business owners. He designs tailored coverage strategies across commercial property, builder’s risk, landlord portfolios, umbrella/excess, flood, and business owners policies, while also assisting individuals with home, auto, life, and related personal coverage needs. His approach is consultative and proactive — helping clients identify risk exposures before they become costly problems.

Outside of work, Hayden enjoys real estate investing/development, fitness, golf, and spending time with his family and his dogs. He is licensed to write insurance across the State of Texas and is passionate about helping clients protect what they’ve worked hard to build.
